At The Bull, we are dedicated to ensuring that all our guests feel comfortable and welcome, whatever their accessibility needs. We understand that our beautiful, historic building comes with some (well, quite a few!) challenges, but we’ve worked hard to make the inn as inclusive as possible.

Access to the front of the inn involves a couple of large steps. However, we have an alternative entrance at the rear of the building via our car park, which is equipped with a ramp, providing easy access to our restaurant and bar areas. This ensures that wheelchair users and guests with mobility concerns can comfortably reach our main dining and social spaces.

Our car park is primarily reserved for hotel residents, but if you have a Blue Badge and would like to dine at The Bull, please let us know—we will do our best to accommodate parking next to the rear entrance.

Also close to this entrance is our unisex toilet which is wheelchair accessible. Baby changing facilities are also included.

For guests requiring overnight accommodation, we offer two ground-floor hotel rooms designed with accessibility in mind. These rooms are adjacent to the car park, spacious and feature walk-in showers for ease of use. While these rooms retain the warm, traditional character of The Bull Inn, they include thoughtful adaptations to support the needs of guests who require step-free access. All our rooms are equipped with telephones, should assistance be required.

We are slowly upgrading the bathrooms across the property and all rooms now have walk-in showers. There are no showers over baths. Our master suites have a walk-in shower as well as a separate bath.

Our staff are always on hand to assist where necessary—whether it’s helping with luggage, navigating the building, or providing information on local services. We’re happy to discuss any specific requirements you might have, including dietary needs or additional assistance during your stay.

Although the historic nature of our building means that some areas—such as certain corridors and upper floors—may not be fully accessible, we remain committed to improving our facilities wherever possible. We constantly review ways to make our inn more inclusive and welcome feedback from guests to help us in this effort.
