Our Plans for the Festive Period 2024

Christmas at The Bull is a magical time of the year where carols, mince pies, mulled wine and a warm log fire all add to the festive atmosphere. Over the last few years we've built up a festive programme of traditional events and here are our plans for 2024.

December is always a busy month so bookings are essential. 

 

Sunday 22nd December 

​​

​The Woodbridge Excelsior Brass Band will play carols in front of The Bull from 6pm until 8pm.

​

Mulled wine, warm mince pies and a thick dollop of festive cheer!  

​​

Tuesday 24th December 

​

Local artist, Phil Jackson will be back on the piano from 6pm until 9pm to roll-out a few Christmas favourites to get us into that Christmas spirit. Last orders will be at 10pm as we all get ready for the big day.
 

Wednesday 25th December - Now Fully Booked.

 

Unfortunately, we are now fully booked for dining on Christmas Day. However, our bar will be open to the public from 11am until 3pm and close at 6pm for diners and hotel residents.

Christmas Dinner will be available over two sittings at 1pm and 3pm.

The first sitting at 1pm is in the bar (suitable for dogs) and our front restaurant area. Our second sittings will be at 3pm in Carlow's Room. For each sitting, you will have three hours to relax and enjoy the day

Thursday 26th December

​

The bar and restaurant will be open from 11am and our famous Boxing Day recovery brunch will be available from 11am until 8pm.

Tuesday 31st December

Musician Phil Jackson will be back as he helps us close out 2024 and celebrate the New Year.

Our main event is our New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner which starts at 7:45pm. The menu is available HERE along with optional matching WINE FLIGHTS.  We've gone for something a little different this year with a collection of local wines along with a reprise of some fantastic wines from our Bordeaux Masterclass.
 

Our bar will be open as normal from 11am up to 6pm on New Year's Eve. Our bar has been booked for a private function and will be closed to the general public from 6pm on New Year's Eve.

​

The kitchen will be open for brunch between 11am and 1pm and our usual midweek menu between midday and 4pm. The kitchen will then close at 4pm as we prepare for our New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner.

Wednesday 1st January 2025
 

What better way to start the year than with our famous Sunday Roast. Our normal Sunday hours will apply with the restaurant open from 11am until 8pm.  ​Brunch will be available from 11am until 1pm. 

​

Our Sunday menu will be available from midday until 8pm.  

​
