Regulars at The Bull will know that Sarah is from New Zealand and this is influenced in our food and drink menus. The land of the long white cloud is famous for its fresh, tasty, wholesome food that uses the best of local and seasonal produce.


As befitting a sixteenth century tavern, The Bull focuses on traditional British favourites. Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced from local Suffolk farms. 

For those of you who have had the good fortune to travel to New Zealand, you will know that the people are friendly, down-to-earth, relaxed and very proud of their unspoilt and beautiful country. This is reflected in our hospitality that is casual, fun and with huge care for the local environment.    

The restaurant and bar are open seven days a week and offer a great selection of locally sourced food, local ales and an extensive new world wine menu all served with a little New Zealand flair!
