At The Bull, we like to recognise traditional occasions and build up a regular diary of events. For the Autumn of 2024, we have the following functions planned :-

From Sunday 6th October until Sunday 24th November

The Bull Sunday Evening Quiz is back! After a long summer break, our quiz returns every  Sunday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Starting on Sunday 6th October and running until Sunday 24th November, our guest quizmasters will challenge your grey matter whilst keeping you entertained! It's free to enter and you can compete for a £50 Bull discount voucher as a prize.

The quiz will be held in our bar areas and for those wanting a quiet Sunday evening dinner, Carlow's Room will also be available.

Saturday 19th October - Bordeaux Masterclass
 

Our first autumn function will be an extra-special Bordeaux masterclass featuring a four-course pairing menu along with five outstanding Bordeaux wines. Included are some phenomenal Grand Cru class wines from the stellar 2015 vintage.  To guide us through the evening, we have two sommeliers from Bordeaux to give us their insights to the menu on offer.

Friday 25th October - Trafalgar Dinner

We host our annual Trafalgar Night dinner to the immortal memory of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson. This is a traditional format evening and details can be found by downloading our Trafalgar Dinner Menu. Thursday 21st November - Beaujolais Nouveau Night

C'est arrivé! The third Thursday in November is Beaujolais Nouveau night. Enjoy a relaxed and informal evening as we enjoy the latest vintage release along with a selection of canapés. Outline details can be found for the event on our Beaujolais flyer.

For early 2025, we have following events planned :-

Saturday 25th January
 

Our Burns Supper has been very popular over the last few years and our next event will take place on Saturday 25th  January 2025. We will follow the traditional format with a piper, a few special guests, an Address to the Haggis, and of course, a little Burns poetry. Details to follow.
 

Sunday 2nd February through to Sunday 30th March

After the Christmas and January break, our Sunday evening quiz returns from 6pm until 8pm as we all look forward to the return of light evenings and spring. 

Thursday 13th February until Saturday 15th February
 

Our Valentine's Offer will be available from Thursday 13th February until Saturday 15th February from 6pm until 9pm. Woo your loved one with two courses for two people plus a bottle of house wine (red, white, rosé or Prosecco) or two glasses of Champagne all for £75.

Sunday 30th March

Mother's Day is late in 2025 and falls on Sunday 30th March.  As ever, early booking is advised. We will offer our traditional Sunday Roast with a range of seasonal starters and desserts. 
 

Easter

​

Easter runs from Good Friday on the 18th April through to Easter Monday on the 21st April. Easter Sunday is always very popular and early booking is recommended.
